“Each item is a quiet celebration of pattern and simplicity”

ola notebooks, cards and papers are produced with the kind of quality that only a love for traditional skills and craftsmanship can bring. Each item is a quiet celebration of pattern and simplicity, influenced by architecture, abstract art and midcentury design.

The patterns begin in notebooks as investigative sketches and drawings. They are painted and perfected by hand with a pen and Indian Inks. Once fully realised they are printed in our workshop to test and refine the designs until being passed over to one of our makers.

Whether made at our studio or by local manufacturers, each item is produced with patience and dedication to detail.”

All ola products are crafted in small quantities. Whether made at our studio or by our trusted makers, each item is produced with patience and dedication to detail.

The materials we use are carefully selected and thoroughly tested. We hold a library of papers from around the world, each with a different shade, weight and texture.

The use of age-old processes - stitching in place of gluing and our signature use of hot foil printing, confers to each piece a distinct charm and character that can only come from traditional craftsmanship.
